Strength Training in Paris 16

Free weights, kettlebells, TRX: precise, closely coached strength work, a world away from impersonal gyms.

Conditioning, with no showing off

The conditioning floor at Studio Kael brings together free weights and dumbbells, kettlebells and TRX in a discreet space in the 16th arrondissement. No rows of machines here, no deafening playlist: one coach, one programme, and the right movement repeated until it becomes second nature. Toning up, building real strength, preparing for a race or simply getting back into shape: the programme is built for you and progresses at your pace. In a private session, as a duo or in a small group, every repetition is watched and corrected.

What strength training builds

Functional strength : Movements that serve everyday life: carrying, pushing, pulling, getting back up, without injury. A toned physique : The muscle takes shape, your bearing changes, and confidence follows. Injury prevention : Joints protected by balanced muscles and movement patterns you have truly mastered. Metabolism & energy : More active muscle means more energy burned, even at rest.

A programme built around you

Coached sessions in a private session, as a duo or in a small group. The same rates apply to every discipline at the studio, with a member rate on the annual membership.

Do I need to be fit already to start strength training?

No. The programme starts from where you genuinely are, assessed in your first session. Loads, ranges and volume then build week by week under your coach's eye, and our English speaking personal trainers coach the whole session in English if you prefer.

Strength training or cardio for weight loss?

Both, ideally. Strength training raises your resting metabolism and shapes the body, while cardio increases the burn. At Studio Kael the two are combined in a single programme, including low impact cardio to protect your joints.

How often should I train to make progress?

Two sessions a week are enough to see visible progress within a few weeks, and three will speed things up considerably. Consistency always beats the occasional heroic session.
